La Cuna is a place in evolution — lodging, retreats, ecological regeneration and a community in the making. You are welcome to come and know it.
La Cuna rests on a quiet hillside at 2,380 metres, wrapped in the cloud forest of the Sierra Madre Sur. It began in 2015 and opened its doors in 2022. Here you can rest, join a retreat, learn something new, or simply share time with people exploring more regenerative ways of living.
It is part of the Cuna Project, a non-profit association. Our intention is to care for this place while it keeps growing — and to invite you to know it.

“Peace is a primordial state of balance, realized through attitudes in harmony with the universal principles of the creation of unity.”
— Carlos F. Miranda
La Cuna is the first concrete realization of the Cuna Project: a non-profit association registered in Austria in 2020, creating spaces and networks of solidarity where people from all over the world build sustainable, natural and peaceful ways of life.
The income from lodging and retreats sustains the operation, the people involved and the continued development of the project. It is a form of participation and sustainability — not simply a transaction.
Presence and a holistic understanding of oneself and the world.
Authentic community and a true collective spirit.
Life in harmony with the ecosystems and all beings.
Deep respect and care for every form of life.
No commitment. Tell us what draws you here and we’ll help you find the right way in.
